A: This program is available to SDRC clients, ages 8 - adult, at no cost to the participating individual or their family.
Q: How is staff for the program sourced?
A: Staff is sourced from local educational institutions and is selected based on their experience in working with, and advocating for individuals with special needs/disabilities.
Q: How is curriculum written/where does expertise come from?
A: UESL founder, Matthew Iske, is a credentialed teacher and a NASEF scholastic fellow. Several individuals on staff for UESL have decades of experience coaching and teaching individuals with special needs/disabilities, and some of these individuals possess masters level or higher degrees in psychology education etc.
Q: How long does the program run?
A: This program runs year-round with the exception of holidays.
Q: Do I need my own equipment?
A: No, UESL provides all equipment necessary for this experience, all that is needed is clearance from your San Diego Regional Center case manager.
