Whether you’re looking for social gatherings, creative outlets, or supportive resources, these ten events happening throughout June 2025 provide opportunities for connection, learning, and fun.


1. Early Start Together: Parent-to-Parent Playdate
A free playdate for parents of infants and toddlers with disabilities (or suspected disabilities) to connect, share experiences, and build community while their little ones enjoy social time.

2. Sensory Friendly Mornings at San Diego Children’s Discovery Museum
A specially adapted museum experience offering a quieter atmosphere, reduced noise levels, and sensory accommodations to ensure a comfortable visit for children with sensory sensitivities and their families.

3. 5 Steps to Making Friends, Finding Community, & Dating for Autistic Adults (Zoom)
An inspiring virtual presentation by My Best Social Life, offering practical strategies to build friendships, find community, and navigate dating for adults on the autism spectrum.

4. Thirsty Thursdays Virtual Support Group
A monthly online support group hosted by Autism Society San Diego for parents, autistic adults, and community members to discuss services, supports, accommodations, and share experiences in a relaxed, judgment-free environment.

7. Dadvocate Happy Hour – A Support Group for Dads
A casual in-person gathering for fathers of autistic children to share experiences, resources, and camaraderie over drinks. Hosted by Autism Society San Diego’s executive director, a dad of a teen with autism.

8. Family Pool + Pizza Party
A free, monthly indoor pool party with pizza and drinks sponsored by Autism Society San Diego. Families of all abilities can enjoy swimming in a heated pool, with lifeguards on duty. A $5 donation per family is suggested to cover food and venue costs.

9. Spring Craft Fair
