SONY Interactive Entertainment Makes Big Donation to Support UESL Tech Centers
Unified Esports League (UESL) receives game console donations to support UESL’s Technology Education Program for the IDD Community (individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities) in San Diego and Imperial County
The Unified Esports League (UESL) is an approved vendor of the San Diego Regional Center (SDRC). This vendor relationship with SDRC allows UESL to provide their program at zero cost to SDRC clients. UESL programs focus on helping people with special needs make friends, play on a team, build social emotional skills, and improve their physical health and wellness through the use of various forms of gaming and technology.
On October 6, 2025, Unified Esports League hosted a donation event for donated gaming equipment received from Sony Interactive Entertainment, the company behind PlayStation, at UESL’s Abraxas Technology Education Center in Poway, CA. At the event, the company generously donated PlayStation 5 game consoles and PlayStation-branded gift bags for UESL clients. Gift bags were provided for all participants in attendance and will be distributed to all 6 Unified locations in San Diego to support players and families. The donated game consoles will be used by UESL at various locations across San Diego County by clients to help them make progress towards their personal goals through their passion for video games and technology.
“We are incredibly grateful for the support of Sony Interactive Entertainment with this donation. This technology will help tremendously in the education we provide to our clients who love technology and can use these consoles to enhance their quality of life through participation in our program.”

In addition, Sony Interactive representatives were present to help families learn more about the recently released PlayStation Family app. The PlayStation Family app is an innovative application that helps families manage their children’s online gaming activity and is a continuation of the company's commitment to online safety, especially for families. UESL is grateful for the cutting-edge innovation Sony Interactive continues to show in creating familiymanagement tools to help people and their children participate safely in online settings.
UESL aims to utilize tools such as the PlayStation Family app to help people establish and maintain a healthy relationship with technology and explore how it can enhance all aspects of our lives.
