FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Unified Esports League and TERI Campus of Life Forge Innovative Partnership for San Marcos Arena Opening
SAN MARCOS, CA, Thursday, July 10, 2025 – The Unified Esports League (UESL) will celebrate the grand opening of its ninth gaming + technology arena—and its first in San Marcos—with a free, public ribbon cutting ceremony on Thursday, July 10, 2025, at 4:00 PM. The new facility is located on the TERI Campus of Life at 555 Deer Springs Road, San Marcos, CA 92069.
This groundbreaking collaboration pairs UESL’s industry-leading inclusive esports programming with TERI’s long-standing commitment to supporting hundreds of families across San Diego. TERI Campus of Life has generously provided dedicated space on its innovative campus, while UESL is providing all of the funding to establish the new Gaming and Technology Center. UESL raises funds independently to furnish the site with high end technology such as computers, ipads, virtual reality headsets, industry standard softwares, and more.
“The opening of our San Marcos arena represents a significant milestone for UESL,” said Matthew Iske, Founder + CEO of the Unified Esports League. “Partnering with TERI Campus of Life allows us to bring our program philosophy to even more families, creating opportunities for skill development, social connection, and community inclusion.”
Members of the public are invited to join Unified Esports gamers, local civic officials, community leaders, and UESL staff for an afternoon of light refreshments and hands-on demonstrations. Attendees will have the opportunity to:
Witness the official ribbon cutting marking UESL’s continued growth in North County
Meet UESL athletes and coaches who deliver inclusive esports and technology education for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD)
Engage in gaming and technology demonstrations showcasing adaptive controllers, virtual reality fitness experiences, and team-building simulations
UESL’s gaming + technology arenas provide a supportive environment where IDD participants learn communication, teamwork, and problem-solving through structured play. Since its founding, the organization has expanded across Southern California, with the San Marcos location strengthening local access to inclusive esports programming at no cost to schools or families.
The ribbon cutting ceremony is free and open to the public. RSVP is not required.
