UESL Guide: March ‘26 IDD-Friendly Events + Activities
A new month means new chances to get out of the house, try something fresh, and connect with people who get it.
If you’re parenting, supporting, or living the IDD experience, you already know this truth: community doesn’t just “happen.” It’s built—one outing, one conversation, one shared moment at a time.
So for March 2026, we’ve pulled together 10 IDD-focused and IDD-friendly events happening across San Diego County—with an emphasis on sensory-friendly environments, inclusive recreation, and family-centered support.

A gentle reminder before you go: plan for comfort + success
If you’re navigating sensory needs, mobility access, or anxiety around crowds, it can help to:
Arrive early when possible
Bring preferred sensory supports (headphones, fidgets, sunglasses, snacks)
Preview parking and restrooms
Choose one “anchor person” your loved one can stick with if overwhelmed
You deserve community experiences that feel safe, welcoming, and worth the effort.
Get out there + bring your people with you!
If even one of these events feels like a good fit, we hope you’ll pick a date, put it on the calendar, and go connect—because IDD community isn’t just something we wish for. It’s something we build, one outing at a time.
And if you have a friend, neighbor, coworker, or family member who’s looking for support for an IDD loved one: please share Unified Esports League (UESL) with them.
UESL is a San Diego Regional Center–approved vendor offering a technology + life skills program designed for IDD individuals—centered on belonging, confidence, communication, teamwork, and real community (not “sit on the sidelines” community—in it together community).
UNIFIED Friends Referral Program
UESL also offers a referral program to thank families and supporters who help grow the community. Because I don’t want to risk stating an outdated incentive, the best way to share accurately is:
Encourage your friend/family member to mention your name when they reach out
Ask UESL Client Services for the current referral thank-you details (what qualifies + what the thank-you is)
That way, everyone gets the correct, current info—no confusion, no missed credit.
